Awww.

After I gave that scarf away, my friend came back and gave me a beautiful little pot that she made herself. I wasn’t expecting anything in return, but this was very nice.

 

As you can see, I put it to good use. That’s the same yarn I used for the scarf.

Another scarf?

I made this scarf this weekend on my knitting machine, for one of the writers at work. It’s super long, like 7′.

 

 

It’s a simple 2×2 rib, using 4 skeins of Noro Silk Garden Lite, colorway 2030. Simple patterns really bring out the lovely colors of Noro, I think.

 

Fun with coworkers, part deux

I promised my friend TriXie a hat, and a hat she got. Behold the Tam 4 Trixie!

 

 

 

The pattern is from Three Tams on Knitty. It was knit with Lion Cashmere Blend in Navy and Southwest Trading Company Karaoke in Ocean. It’s soft soft soft! TriXie tells me she’ll be wearing this on her Germany trip this week. Bon voyage, Trix!

 

Fun with coworkers

Oh yeah. I do like knitting a lot, but give away more than I keep. So, I ended up making some items for people at work, just for fun.

 

First, a Quant headband from Knitty.com, using Crystal Palace Yarns Taos. I gave this to one of the editors on my team.

 

 

And then a Under Water scarf from Dorothy, for one of my husband’s co-workers. He had a neon sign that I wanted to buy off of him for my husband, but he just gave it to me and refused payment. So I made him a scarf. The yarn is Moda Dea Tweedle Dee.

 

 

And finally, a set of Voodoo wrist warmers from Knitty.com, knit with Noro Silk Garden. This was for one of the writers on my team. She told me she wore them all evening after I gave them to her. Awwww. You’re welcome.
